Healing Perspectives: March 2007
Welcome!
As spring arrives, there's new growth everywhere, and the air is charged with change as the days become warmer and longer. It's the time of the year when our thoughts turn to new beginnings and our focus is on the future. We look forward to spending time in nature and allowing the goals we created during the beginning of the year to manifest in our daily lives. It's as if we've awakened from a long winter slumber and see the world through the soft eyes of a child – excited to be alive, and looking forward with child-like anticipation to the next experience that will teach us something new about ourselves.
Enlightenment is very much like the energy of spring, for it too offers the opportunity to create fresh new thoughts; to allow those thoughts to germinate in the fertile rich imagination of the mind; to watch them grow, and to experience excitement and wonderment as they manifest before our very eyes.
While each of us is driven by an unspoken inner desire to become enlightened, it's the process of getting there that offers us the greatest opportunity to experience the sweetness life has to offer – sweetness such as laughter and love, joy and happiness. It's the satisfaction we feel when we discover something new about ourselves and when we have the courage to let go of the fears that are holding us back. The enlightenment process heightens our physical senses, which makes it possible for us to savor the beauty that surrounds us and to find pleasure in the simple things such as a smile, the fragrance of a rose, the face on a pansy, the softness of the spring air, the warmth of the sun on our skin, or the delicious flavor as we enjoy our afternoon tea. It's an opportunity to experience a no-boundary awareness, as if we're seeing things for the first time, free of fear, free of mental limitations, and free from distorted perceptions of what we're capable of achieving. There are infinite possibilities as we freely use our intuition to help us experience the vibrational subtleness of life, undetectable through our physical senses.
The Vibrational Nature of Enlightenment
Take a moment and consider the universe we live in. Nothing is at rest. Everything that exists is in movement of some kind, and therefore expresses itself in the form of a vibrational song. This is true whether it's the vibrational movement of the universe, the state of enlightenment, or our own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. They all have their own vibrational song that differentiates one from the other. Some are lower in vibration, which makes them tangible, visible and detectable by the physical senses. Some are higher in vibration, making them intangible, non-visible and only detectable through intuition. For example:
- At the low end of the vibrational scale are the universe, matter, the physical body, emotions, and behavior.
- At the high end of the vibrational scale are energy, thoughts, the soul, and enlightenment.
Then there's you. Your vibrational song is a symphony of many different vibrations, both high and low, thus making it possible for you to create whatever life and experiences you desire. If you desire to live your life at the lower end of the scale, then your life is limited in the kinds of experiences you'll attract. You'll find yourself repeating the same behavioral patterns, stuck with the same emotional reactions, and thinking the same thoughts. On the other hand, if you choose to raise your vibration to the higher end of the scale, you activate the enlightenment process therefore making it possible for you to live an enlightened life. By expanding your thinking, creating new opportunities, and attracting different experiences, you can manifest the life you desire.
Living an Enlightened Life
Here are some of the things you can do to enhance the enlightenment process and live an enlightened life:
- Remember you are the songwriter and the conductor of your life. All that exists has its own vibrational song. When your song is in harmony with the songs of the universe and all that comprises it, you'll feel a sense of belonging and peace and will find yourself growing personally and spiritually.
- Recognize you are the creator of your life and all that happens does so because of the quality of your thoughts. If the thoughts you're creating aren't manifesting what you want, change them.
- Harness the power of intention by focusing your attention on what you want rather than what you don't want. This allows the Law of Magnetic Attraction to work for you and to make the process of manifestation effortless and free from struggle.
- Let go of what's no longer serving you well and what's not working. You will know it's time to let go when what you think makes you feel compromised or energetically drained, or evokes strong negative emotions. You'll see life through the eyes of suffering and pain.
- Make choices for your reasons, and do so without feeling guilt. Choices that promote good health free you from your conditioning and release the mental barriers that hold you back.
Light & Love,
Carol
Healing Hint:
If you want to quiet the mental chatter and open the mind so it's receptive to new thoughts, you can do so with mindful breathing. Take slow, deep breaths and center your attention on your heart. As you breathe in through your nose say to yourself, "Nowhere to go." As you exhale through your mouth say to yourself, "Nothing to do." Repeat several times until you feel relaxed.
