When the mind hears the word kindness it immediately thinks of the word nice. However, nice and kindness aren't the same. Nice is an act of the mind. Kindness is an act of the heart. We are taught to be nice in order to get what we need, and to be loved. Being nice protects us from rejection. Therefore, nice is charged with expectations. Kindness, on the other hand, has no expectations. It is the selfless act that honors the soul. It offers dignity, and expresses respect. Kindness reminds us that we are all alike, no matter what language we speak, the color of our skin, or our cultural differences. Kindness is the expression of our spiritual nature. We are designed to be kind.
Kindness is what the world needs now. It is what all humanity needs right now. Our very survival depends on kindness, because it's what connects all of us. Kindness is what makes our time on this earth meaningful. The primary incentive of kindness is to be of service to others. It's the desire to help, and it makes it possible for us to experience the unrestrained pleasure that comes from being generous, and being sensitive to the needs of others. Kindness is the source of human joy. It is the foundation of a good heart.
In this Saturday Soul Gathering, Carol will be sharing how the soul heart is abundant with kindness. She will be discussing how being kind to yourself makes it easier for you to be kind to others, and how that kindness will encourage others to reciprocate with like kindness. She will share how time ties in with kindness, and how your perception of time can actually rob you of the joy kindness offers. Carol will discuss how beauty helps you become a kinder person, and how kindness is the simplest way of coping with the obstacles life places on your spiritual path. She will talk about how kindness expresses itself:
- Soulfully
- Energetically
- Perceptionally
- Psychologically
- Emotionally
- Behaviorally
- Physically
The Saturday Soul Gathering is held the first Saturday of each month at the Ritberger Learning Center, in Cameron Park, CA. While each gathering is designed as a standalone event, the information shared will set the intention for succeeding gatherings. The gatherings are lecture and experiential in nature, so bring a journal that you can dedicate specifically to capturing the wisdom held within your soul.
I hope you will join me for this gathering as we explore the qualities of kindness, and how being kind can help you sleep better, wake up more refreshed, have pleasant dreams, have more energy, make your face more radiant, and help your mind be more serene. You will learn how a little kindness can go a long way in creating a better and healthier life for you.
Light & Love,
